Welcome to Al-Qalam in the heart of historic Cairo!
Al-Qalam is a creative office space surrounded by a unique historical environment which stimulates beauty and encourages creativity. Al-Qalam is a gallery, a school, a design studio, a store for Arabic Calligraphy supplies and gifts and a hub for all creators and artists.
Al-Qalam is on the first floor in a building dating back to the eighteenth century, which is classified (C) category according to the National Organization for Urban Harmony. It directly overlooks Sultan Hassan and Refa’i Mosques and it is behind the house of the Egyptian architect (Hassan Fathy House), in 10 Darb al-Labana, a few steps from the Citadel Square/ Midan Al-Qalaa (Saladin).
The space consists of a large hall and three separated rooms:
- the classroom, the meeting room and the library
- seminar room, lecture hall and the gallery
- the workspace and a large balcony
- a kitchen and a bathroom
Furthermore,
the roof terrace with a unique view on historic Cairo is accessible.
Meeting/Training Room:
Price: 1-19 hrs = 100 L.E / hr +20 hrs = 80 L.E / hr (snacks, drinks, scan/printing options,flipchart paper) NOT included in the price.
Shared Space:
You will find all you need: Unique view, high speed internet, prayer area, pantry, outlet, fans..etc
Monthly Packages: Half Monthly Membership = 400 L.E
Full Monthly Membership = 700 L.E
Dedicated Desk = 900 L.E
(snacks, drinks, scan/printing options,flipchart paper) NOT included in the price.
10AM – 4PM, every day except Friday and Saturday.
Events & Gatherings
– up to 35 persons
You will find all you need: projector, fans, unique balcony/view, high speed internet,outlet, head mic, speaker..etc
Per hour: 150 L.E (10-35 persons)

Every Day Except Mondays From 4 PM To 10 PM
